Prof. Badri Narayan, eminent social scientist is Project Diector of Dalit Resource Centre. He has been writing on several issues dealing with history, literature and social sciences, in Hindi and English. His most renowned works are Women Heroes and Dalit Assertion in North India, 2006 (English) and Fascinating Hindutva – Saffron Politics and Dalit Mobilisation, 2009 (English) by Sage Publications, New Delhi. Penguin India and Oxford are also going to publish his works on Dalit issues. He was awarded the Bharat Bhusan Agarwal Award (1991), Banarsi Prasad Bhojpuri Samman (2002) and Kedar Samman (2006) Spandan Kriti Samman (2010) for his poetic works.

Dr. Archana Singh is Research Officer, Dalit Resource Centre. After completing her Ph.D in Philosophy, she pursued a project entitled “Eco-feminism: A war against survival of the fittest” funded by ICPR, New Delhi. She has since devoted herself solely to Dalit issues, writing research reports as well as her working for social issues. Being with this centre from last four years, she is presently working on the cultural politics of popular sects. Her research focuses are Dalit feminism and identity politics among marginalised communities.

Nivedita Singh is Research Associate at Dalit Resource Centre. With her Master’s in Sociology and a post graduate diploma in Journalism, she has been with the Centre for about five years. She has persued an International project on Cultural reportaire around Indentured Migration (Bidesia). She is keenly intersested in writing and photography and has been presently involved in her research work on the visual aspect of Dalit culture. She has several publications to her credit and her write-ups gets regularly published in several established magazines and newspapers.

Brijendra Kumar Gautam is Reasearch Associate at Dalit Resource Centre. He has a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism from BHU, Varanasi. Having worked as a freelance journalist, he has several articles and feature stories to his credit and also authored numerous articles on Dalits history, politics and sociology. He is recipient of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar fellowship, Bhartiya Dalit Academy, New Delhi (2002). He is committed to his efforts for giving a new direction to the Dalit cause. His research focus is the study of emanicipatory politics of Dalits.

Ritu Sureka is Research Associate at Dalit Resource Center, GBPSSI. She is a Post graduate in Human Development (gold medalist) from AAIDU, Allahabad. She is also a scholarship holder of Saraswati Project of the Fair and Lovely Foundation (2005). She is currently involved with her research work on studying the deplorable condition of the marginalized communities. She is interested in studying the issues sensitive to women and children of the vulnerable sections of the society.

A mainstream journalist for 29 years, Arindam Roy has worked in various newsrooms. Presently, he is associated with Dalit Resource Centre. He was Managing Editor of Citizen Journalist web portal, Merinews. He headed newspaper bureaus – Times of India (Allahabad) and Hindustan Times (Allahabad & Varanasi). He co-authored Kumbha Mela: Pellgrinaggio Indiano, in Italian, with three French writers and two Italian photographers (Jaca Book, Milano) and contributed chapters in An Introduction to Branding & Marketing Communication Management (Manak Publications & Icons Media) and Allahabad: Where the Rivers Meet (Marg, Mumbai).
